PITTSBURGH, PA [March 19, 2026] – The one-month countdown to Opening Day at Kennywood Park is officially on. This year’s Opening Day begins with the debut of the park’s newest event, Celebrate Kennywood Weekends, the unveiling of two all-new food locations, and the return of the park’s iconic rides and attractions. The gates officially swing open on Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m.

PITTSBURGH, PA [February 12, 2025] – There are even more thrills in store for the 2025 season asKennywood, Pittsburgh’s Thrill and Entertainment Destination, introduces its newest themed area, Kennywood Junction. Inspired by the park’s rich history and connection to the Steel City, Kennywood Junction offers fun for the entire family to experience together. Gearing up for a historic season, Kennywood will delight visitors from Pittsburgh and beyond, as the park begins its longest season ever on April 12. This year, the park introduces its best event lineup ever and opens the new Kennywood Junction, plus many more exciting surprises to come. Families are invited to strap in and get ready to ride on 412 Day, as the new Kennywood Junction opens and the park’s first-ever Eggcellent Easter Celebration begins.

PITTSBURGH, PA: October 28, 2024 – The nose is the news this Holiday Lights season at Kennywood, Pittsburgh’s Home for the Holidays, as the park introduces the largest expansion ever to its beloved event headlined by the addition of meet and greets with iconic characters from the classic TV special, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Featuring more -than five all-new ways to celebrate the holidays, Kennywood will shine brighter with more than three million lights, Pennsylvania’s tallest Christmas tree, more rides and more Holiday Lights operating days than ever before.  

PITTSBURGH, PA: SEPT. 13, 2024 – Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest creeps out of the shadows for six weeks of terror beginning Friday, September 20. This season, the park’s annual Halloween event takes screams to the extreme with spine-tingling scares, more frightening fun and the biggest ride lineup yet for its 22^nd season. Phantom Fall Fest features more than 30 attractions including six horrifying haunts, four sinister scare zones, more than 100 scare actors and terrifying rides in the dark.

PITTSBURGH, PA (April 3, 2024): Kennywood, a USA Today 10 Best Theme Park, today revealed park improvements and additions, a new local partnership and brand-new entertainment for its 126th season beginning Saturday, April 20. The park’s upcoming year highlights feature the all-new Potato Smash bumper cars, brand-new food and beverage locations, parkwide enhancements and an all-new special event.
