WEST MIFFLIN [December 16, 2021] – A party 125 years in the making is too big for just one season. Today, Kennywood announced plans for a major, multi-million dollar improvement project to the park, along with a lineup of special events unlike anything seen since its founding in 1898.

Kennywood’s 125^th season of fun is on the horizon in 2023. However, park leadership won’t wait another moment to begin the party, unveiling a two-year celebration starting with major changes coming in 2022 that will enhance guest experience, refresh landmark locations, and provide reasons to visit every single day of the season – from Opening Day on April 23 to the final night of Holiday Lights.

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. [November 10, 2021] – Deck the halls – Holiday Lights makes it triumphant return to Kennywood beginning on Saturday, November 20 with a special Season Passholder only night on Friday, November 19. Pittsburgh’s Home for the Holidays celebrates the season over 24 nights and will feature more than one million lights, Pennsylvania’s Tallest Christmas Tree, sweet and savory seasonal snacks, and favorite family rides and attractions.

“There’s no better way to conclude 2021 than with Kennywood’s biggest and best Holiday Lights ever,” says Kennywood General Manager Mark Pauls. “Guests will have a great time walking through our winter wonderland, enjoying some rides and celebrating the most wonderful time of the year together. We have some great gifts to share this season above and beyond Holiday Lights, too – some that may even arrive before Christmas. So, stay tuned.”

WEST MIFFLIN, PA– Wooden roller coasters clacking. Merry Go Round band organ blaring. Children claiming ride partners and shouting through Kennywood’s iconic tunnel on a school picnic day. These sounds were solely missed during May and June 2020 that will, thankfully, burst back into our lives starting Saturday, May 8, when America’s Most Thrilling Historic Landmark begins its 123^rd season of fun.

WEST MIFFLIN, PA – Western Pennsylvania’s premier places for family fun, Kennywood Park, Sandcastle Waterpark, and Idlewild & SoakZone, are getting ready to welcome guests once again in early July.

Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild will open in phases, starting with a Friends & Family Day on Monday, July 6, followed by several dates exclusively for Season Passholders. The three parks will open to the general public on Saturday, July 11.
