JACKSON, N.J., March 26, 2026 – Six Flags Great Adventure today announced Shoreline Pier at The Boardwalk, a vibrant new rides area that channels the electricity, nostalgia, and unmistakable charm of New Jersey’s iconic oceanside amusement piers. Opening in late spring 2026, Shoreline Pier introduces five attractions — four new to Great Adventure — along with classic boardwalk treats, fresh theming, and an atmosphere pulsing with color, motion, and ocean breeze energy.

First teased earlier this month as part of the park’s multiyear Boardwalk transformation, Shoreline Pier captures the spirit of a summer night down the Shore — salt in the air, lights dancing off the water, music drifting across the midway and rides whirling against a glowing sky. The addition honors beloved Jersey coast destinations while delivering new thrills and storytelling. This investment continues the park’s broader growth strategy, which also includes a major new roller coaster slated for 2027.

New festivals, thrilling holiday celebrations, the newest family thrill ride THE FLASH™: Vertical Velocity, and exclusive family-friendly experiences will await guests in a jam-packed season of entertainment—all included with a Six Flags Gold Season Pass.

JACKSON, N.J. ─ March 2, 2022 ─ In 2022, the Six Flags Great Adventure property will celebrate the largest array of improvements in the parks’ nearly 50-year history, featuring robust enhancements to the guest experience including new dining, rides, events and animal experiences.

Six Flags’ investment will feature beautification and modernization efforts throughout the world-class theme park and Wild Safari. Details include increased capacity and streamlined operations in rides, food service, and admissions; new theming and reintroduction of several popular rides for daredevils and junior thrill seekers; aesthetic and comfort enhancements in both parks; the debut of popular food brands and new dining options; a major summer event and more guest amenities. 

Jackson, NJ — November 4, 2021 — Six Flags Great Adventure’s spectacular winter festival, Holiday in the Park, will shine brighter than ever with millions of glittering lights, festive foods, thrilling, new rides, and holiday entertainment. Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience, which debuted in 2020, will return by popular demand. From November 13, 2021 through January 9, 2022, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park will transform into an eye-popping winter wonderland. This immersive and enchanting holiday experience will offer guests two ways to experience the joy of the holidays. Coordinated sights, sounds, scents, and attractions will give each section a distinct character. The events are included with all active Memberships and Season Passes.

JACKSON, N.J. — May 18, 2021 — Six Flags Great Adventure, the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, will launch Six Flags Xpedition Dino daily May 28 through September 7. Guests will have the option to drive their own vehicles or walk through this Jurassic adventure, which will feature 30 life-size dinosaurs with realistic movement and sound.
