Sea World Parks and Entertainment announced today that it will rebrand its existing Aquatica waterpark in San Diego into its second Sesame Street themed amusement park. A causualty of the transition will be the Hoo Roo Run slide complex. In its place will be a new amphitheater.
Kings Island announced in August that it is building behind the Coney Mall the park’s tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster. Named Orion, the B&M gigacoaster will anchor a new area of the park named Area 72 alongside Flight of Fear.
Kentucky Kingdom announced today that they are bringing back their Halloween event this October. They are partnering with Oak Island Creative to develop the event. Oak Island Creative is a Louisville based company with nationally recognized clients.
Silver Dollar City has announced that they are investing 27 million dollars on two new attractions for the 2020 season. These are Mystic River Falls, a white water rapids ride that claims to be the tallest in the western hemisphere, and Rivertown Smokehouse, a new eatery.
In 2020, Holiday World will debut Cheetah Chase. A water coaster attraction by ProSlide that the park claims to be the world’s first launched water coaster.
