Welcome from Carowinds!
Carowinds recently invited us out to learn more about what is new for the 2024 season. The park is recently coming of its major Aeronautica Landing expansion last season. We got to sample some of the new food items that will be found around the park as well as get our first look at the 2024 merchandise.
Several park improvement projects are wrapping up around the park. Significant portions of The Hurler have been retracked. Vortex is being repainted to its original red and black colors. The Intimidator licensing deal is over resulting in a new name for the iconic coaster, Thunder Striker. Along with a new name, the area of the park around the ride will be called Thunder Road. The park has a slate of events scheduled around the year starting with Spring Break on March 29. There are also rumblings of a major project for 2025.
