We're here on a Sunday afternoon to pay our respects to Wildcat.
In this photo update, we share photos of our single purpose visit to Hersheypark on July 31st. That day was to be the last operating day ever for Wildcat, GCI's first wooden roller coaster.
It was a rainy day where at times it just poured, but the park kept operating the coaster letting everyone get their final ride. Wildcat was always amongst the more rough wooden coasters, but this was not for lack of trying by Hersheypark. The ride was well maintained and ran both trains on its last day.
Wildcat will be missed, but we can't help, but also be excited for what the future holds.

We got to the park at a time when people were exiting the water park and the impending weather was sending some to the exits.
