We visited Cedar Point on opening day to check out all the things that are different and new at the park this year. Something you don't see everyday. Not dangerous... just interesting. The ride's rotation gets unlocked at the top of the hill and gets locked on the final brake run. There is seemingly nothing in the station present to lock rotation if it misses the step on the brake run.
