We visit a landmark amusement park in Vienna

In this photo update, we check off a bucket list item making our first visit to the historian Wiener Prater. This amusement park located in the heart of Vienna, Austria is unique because of its history and form. Built on a site that once hosted the World's Fair, Wiener Prater is not owned and operated by one company or individual, but many. Each attraction is individually operated. While the park area is free to enter, there is an individual fee for every attraction.

This park is ever changing as each operator tries to out do their neighbors. What has resulted is one of the largest collections of theme park attractions and roller coasters in one location. Notably, the historic Olympia Looping Schwartzkopf coaster made its summer stop here this year.
