The first time we visited Heide Park, Colossos was standing but not operating. When we heard the ride was back open again, we found a way to return this park to experience what has been revered by many as one of the world's best wooden coasters.
We were not disappointed. Colossus is the park's best rollercoaster and one of the standouts in Germany. Note the ride is pretty heavily trimmed though which takes away some of the intensity this ride may have once had, but replaces it with extra smoothness and reridability.

The cars didn't seem to be as sensitive when loading as El Toro.

All in all, it is an incredible ride. Sadly it is pretty heavily trimmed throughout, but that does not take away from the fun factor. It just wasn't as out of control, insane as El Toro with brakes on.

The Mayatal section of the park has seen a good amount of rides removed lately. There are a lot of empty pads here.
