In this photo update, we share our initial impressions from getting a chance to experience Rapterra at Kings Dominion. Rapterra is a launched wing coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland. The roller coaster was constructed in the Jungle X-Pedition section of the park on the former site of Volcano the Blast Coaster. The coaster operates two trains which get launched to 65 miles an hour. The tallest point of the ride is 145 feet in the air and over the course of 3,086 feet of track riders experience 3 inversions. The coaster is fast and features many low to the ground moments enhancing the sense of speed.
