Magnum XL 200 is a steel hyper coaster designed by Ron Toomer and built by Arrow Dynamics in 1989. Magnum is the first hyper coaster, eclipsing the height of 200 feet tall. The ride features a maximum height of 205 feet and maximum drop of 195 feet with a maximum speed of 72 miles per hour covering 5,106 feet of track.

Magnum XL 200 has an out and back layout that crosses over Cedar Point Shores water park and then along Lake Erie. The ride operates three trains.
